Week 5; thing 11

I didn't choose any one site from the Web 2.0 awards site, but looked at several. It's so overwhelming to see how much is out there! The online image generators were fantastic, and, again, overwhelming! There's so much to try to keep up with.

Week 3; Thing 7

I've finally gotten back to "School Library Learning 2.0". I was surprised to see that it's been almost a month since my first posting.

I did explore Flickr a bit this afternoon. Students often need pictures, images, visuals for projects. However, I doubt that they could access Flickr at school. I'm sure it would be blocked. I will check tomorrow (maybe).

This posting is supposed to be about anything technology related. I think the paragraph above fits that description. I also can add that I tried several times to access this site this afternoon and could not. Technology is great, but it doesn't always perform when needed. We have many problems with equipment at school, too, and it can be so frustrating. On the other hand, I am amazed at the changes in my life and my job in the past 15 years due to technology.

Having access to a "class" such as this is great. I no longer "need" to take classes, but I would like to, if it wasn't so expensive. Being able to learn about a relevant subject, online, and at no cost is fantastic! I hope more opportunities like this will be available in the future.

Week 2; Thing 3

I've set up a blog! I'm doing this at home, because I have more time then, but I hope my old, slow dial-up connection won't be too frustrating.
